How not to be 'Out of Sight, Out of Mind'

Being ‘Out of sight and out of mind’ is a killer when you’re trying to build and serve in your business.

Typically only a small percentage of your target market is ready to buy at any one time. So, staying in touch and developing relationships helps you stay ‘top of mind’ when your customers are ready for your product or service.

Because, when they are ready to buy….you’d like them to immediately think of you!

So, consider this….how can you stay in relationship with your potential buyers/clients in a way that adds value?

Consider how you can learn more about their hopes and dreams and pains and challenges.

Consider how you can deepen your relationship by creating a 2-way dialogue.

Consider how you can create opportunities for them to hear and see you, learning more about you and what you do.

Consider how you can educate or share insights on how your product or service can improve their lives.

During my career in sales, I learned quickly that the businesses that purchased were those that I had the most interactions with, those I stayed in touch with, and those that I had developed a deeper professional relationship with.

Other potential clients that I didn’t connect with as often either didn’t become a buyer or they took longer to buy.

Think about all the different ways that you might connect and develop your relationships with your target audience. Choose the ones that best suit you, your business, and your potential customers.

During this process, you also get to learn about their business, better understand their needs, allowing you to better serve your audience in a meaningful way.

So if you’re not connecting with prospective clients regularly, I encourage you to consider how you can incorporate that into your business practice now.
