Aspiring towards big goals?

You started your business because, and I’m taking an educated guess here, you want to have flexibility, create a lifestyle uniquely yours and make a positive impact through your work. Is that right? or close?

If you’re aspiring to or on your way towards something bigger and you feel there’s more to go and not quite there yet, amidst the strategies and the tactics, I’m inviting you to consider another aspect that will help you increase your success rate to achieve big goals.

Your energy: the mental perspective you’re bringing to your goal achievement.

Viewing your goal attainment through a lens of possibilities, focus, and enjoyment for the journey, impacts the actions you take and the opportunities that come across your path to get you to your big goals.

In fact, the energy and perspective we bring to the goal process can change our perspective so much that in both obvious and subtle ways it impacts how we act and the decisions we make.

Bringing energy of lack, stress and resistance - there’s not enough time, not enough opportunity, seeing challenges and problems around every corner generally doesn’t result in actions that get you closer to your goals.

Where you put your attention….grows.

If you look for challenges - you’ll find roadblocks and hurdles.

If you look for opportunities - you’ll see solutions and ideas that perhaps would’ve passed you by otherwise.

How do you occupy the energy of growth, possibilities and ease?

1) Reconnect with WHY you do what you do - why do help your customers? why did you start your business in the first place?

2) Connect with your Vision. This doesn’t have to be a nice neat statement, but connect with where you’d LIKE to be with your business in the future. If you kept making the impact you’re making, what would the result be?

3) Consider the present - how do you want to feel at work and in pursuit of your big goals? How do you want to feel as you go through your days? What do you have to do in order to feel that way?

Eg. Maybe you want to feel productive. So, what needs to happen for you to feel and be that way? Maybe it’s anything from carving out time to prepare for meetings, scheduling time to work on your business, making more space for ‘head-down’ work time, delegating tasks, stopping certain tasks altogether, etc.

Eg. Maybe you want to feel more at ease and slow down. You’re tired of working at an accelerated pace that isn’t sustainable. If you ask yourself ‘What needs to happen for me to feel and be at ease as I work towards my goals?’. Some answers might include: Creating more space between meetings, better preparation for the week, only allowing certain work at certain times, delegating, developing a team member, creating mini-breaks in your day to take a quiet break, take a walk or check in with a friend, more time for strategizing.

The energy we bring to things will help us approach our work with meaning and intention. This will help us to cut through the frenzy that takes up space in our brains and workspace; distractions that can actually create barriers to your goal achievement.

When we see clearly why we do what we do, where we’re going, and how we want to show up for it, things begin to get clearer and clearer.

I invite you to consider the energy you want to bring to your day and the focus you put on your big goals. And, how can you begin each day and week getting into this mind space?

If you’re ready to explore ways to achieve your big goals, then join us in this opportunity!

NOW is YOUR time.
